Created October 24, 2000, Kawaii Sakura Shrine was originally hosted on Geocities. Due to expansion and bandwidth limit problems, KSS then moved to Acidmist.com. The site started out small, but it grew larger as the webmistress realized that people depended on the site for amusement and information. Its success can be attributed to the many visitors who support the site by coming frequently and submitting their fanwork. After a few months on Acidmist's server, the site moved to a friend's server, where support and uptime was wonderful for the first two months. Unfortunately, problems began to arise...after several months of being on and offline, KSS eventually moved to its (final) home, which is supported by Ruka's hard-earned money and the munificent patrons who help host the media files.
