Chapter 14

Stormy weather





Sakura sat on the sofa, she tugged at her nighty. They had stopped by her house to get clothes and PJ's. She sighed and closed her eyes. Li smiled and blushed slightly.



"Wanna watch a video??" he asked. Sakura didn't open her eyes. She just nodded. Li put a video in the VCR and sat back down, but they didn't really watch a video and soon Sakura was asleep. Shefell over on the sofa and leaned against Li. Li blushed and gently shoke her.



"Sakura?" he said. Sakura mumbled in her sleep. Li sighed and carried her to the spare room.







The thunder crashed again and along came the lightning. The nosie was like a cannon being fired. Li opened his eyes. It was no use he just couldn't get to sleep. He got up and went into the kitchen to boil the ketle. He took out two mugs and poured two steaming hot, hot chocolates. He knocked on Sakuras room, no answer, he opened the door. Sakura was sitting on thr bad covering her ears with her hand. Her eyes were tight shut.



"SAKURA!!!" Li yelled. Sakura looked up. She smiled at Li and took her hands away from her ears.



"Hi Li."



"Can't sleep either hu??" Li asked, Sakura nodded.



"Come on I have a cup of hot chocolate for you in the kitchen." Li walked out and Sakura followed. Soon they were sitting on the sofa warming there hands on the mugs. Niko sat on the table in front of them with her own hot chocolate. But soon they were all asleep.







In the morning the rain still poured and the storm continued, but it was quieter. Sakura opened her eyes to smell food cooking. She got up to find Li cooking breakfast for them.



"Smells good," she said. Li turned around and smiled at her. He laid the table and soon they were tucking in to the best breakfast Sakura had ever had. Then Sakura noticed someone was missing.



"Hey wheres Niko???" she asked.



"Gone to get Kero, thought you might want him her." said Li. Then she heard a tapping on the window and out side were two very wet gaurdians. Kero held his tiny wing over Nikos head but it was no use, but Niko still smiled. Sakura opened the window to let them in. They both flew over to the fire to dry. When Li saw them he laught and this caused Sakura to laugh. Kero exploded,



"Its not funny!!!" He yelled. Niko flew over to his and laid a little paw on hi shoulder.



"Calm down Keroberus," she smiled at him and Kero blushed, this made Sakura and Li laugh harder. Suddenly a blinding flash of light shot across the sky, it struk an old house with such force the building collapsed. Luckyly it was an old house and noone lived there. But Li, Sakura, Niko and Kero all knew this was no ordinary storm. Sakura and Li ran on to the balconey and relised there staffs. Then the called upon the Fly card. Wing sprouted out of Sakuras ans Lis backs. Sakuras were dazzaling white while Lis were jet black. They flew of and Niko and Kero followed. They came to a floating beast in the sky, it was blacker than black and its eyes were the redest yet, full of hate. On its back was the Storm card. The beast was Raiju( don't know how to spell it). The two saw Li and Sakura aproach. They each shot a Lightning bolt at Sakura and Li.



"Shiled!!" They both yelled at the same time. And not a moment to soon, the lightning struck the shiled and ricorshaded off. The bolts of lightning came back at Raiju and Storm. Raiju dogged but Storm was hit. She fell thrugh the air. Li flew after her and sealed the card. Now the only one left was Raiju. Li hovered in front of Raiju not moveing. He glared at the thunder beast. Raiju let out a terrifieing roar.



"Kero transfor and get Sakura out of here," something in LIs voice made Kero obay.



"But Li..." Sakura started.



"Sakura I need to do this on my own." Li said. Sakura didn't know what els to say. She let Kero carry her off a few feet. Raiju let out another roar and charged at Li. Still Li didn't move. Sakura was about to shout when Li shot up into the sky just befor Raiju hit him. Raiju skidded to a holt. Li flew over to e tree one hovered in front of that.



"Hey stupid over here," LI yelled. Raiju flew at him. Again Li moved away just in time. Raiju was slower and went crashing into the tree. It fell down crashing over Raijus head. This went on on Raiju continued to crash into everything.(Normaly brakeing everything ^-^) He was weakaning and Li saw the thing that would finish it. A huge tree stood in front of him, its trunk was so thick that a chain of 8 men would reach around it. Raiju flew after Li. Again Li dogged Raiju, again Raiju crashed. He fell to the ground but the tree stayed firm.



"Thunder card return to your power confined, THUNDER!!!!!!!"







"That was brilliant Li." Sakura landed by Li who was standing under the tree. He sat on a bench that was under the tree and Sakura sat by him. Niko and Kero came down(Kero had transformed back). Then snow started to fall in delicate little flakes. One landed on Sakuras nose and stayed there for a second befor melting. The snow started to fall faster and thiker untill the land was covered in a blanket of pure white snow. Li looked up into the sky and saw the snow card. He grabed his key. But she just smiled and hovered down to stand in front of him. She glowed then returned to her card form. Li just steared at the card.



"Snow is one of the genteler spirits," Niko said," the evil dose not control her well." Li steared at the card. She was dressed in grey and her eyes were closed. She was smileing. Li just stood there with his back to Sakura, she picked up a hand full of snow and pelted it at Li. Li turned around to see Sakura looking all inocent.



"Right," he said, "Snow build me a fortress and give me endless snowballs, Relise!!" Li then started to pelt Sakura with snow balls. She dogged most but some hit. She screamed and laughed. She ordered her Snow card to do the same and soon Li and Sakura were having a snowball fight. Kero and Niko just looked on with sweatdropes at the back of their heads. Then they shruged and went to their masters to help.





They were exsausted, cold but happy, nither of them had really won but that didn't matter.
